Silicon Carbide Burner Nozzle Overview
Ceramic nozzles are key components in flue gas desulfurization and dust removal systems for thermal power plants and large boilers. Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic nozzles are widely used in power plant desulfurization applications. The reaction-bonded SiC desulfurization and dust removal nozzles offer excellent properties including high strength, high hardness, strong corrosion resistance, extreme wear resistance, and high-temperature endurance. These nozzles effectively remove sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and other pollutants from flue gases.
Additionally, the service life of SiC ceramic is 3 to 5 times longer than that of alumina ceramics and is comparable to hard alloys, making it a reliable substitute for cemented carbide—especially in demanding conditions such as handheld spray guns.
