🔥 High Temp Resistance

Withstands up to 2700°C. Stable at 1600°C in air or 1900°C in inert gas — far beyond metals or alumina ceramics.

⚡ Thermal Conductivity

120–200 W/m·K thermal conductivity. Its low expansion (4.5×10⁻⁶/°C) ensures superior thermal shock resistance.

🧪 Chemical Stability

Resists most acids and bases (except HF). Oxidation creates a protective silica layer that blocks further corrosion.

🛠️ Mechanical Strength

Mohs hardness 9.2, flexural strength 400–600 MPa, and wear resistance over 10× that of steel.

1) SSiC vs RBSiC: which grade should I pick?
Choose SSiC for highest strength, gas-tightness and chemistry resistance; choose RBSiC for excellent all-around hot strength and cost balance in general industrial service.
Commonly 15–25 mm for mid-size shelves; large 500–600 mm plates often run 25–40 mm with ribbing to control mass and deflection.
Yes. We specify flatness as a percentage of span; ground/lapped faces are mapped. Tightest flatness on smaller, thicker plates.
RBSiC is typically used up to ~1350 °C in air; SSiC can run up to ~1600 °C depending on load and atmosphere.
Yes. Through-holes, countersinks, slots, pockets and grooves are standard options. Provide drawings and tolerances.
We can polish one side to ≤0.05 μm Ra for sealing or optical alignment surfaces; the opposite side remains ground for stability.
Use three-point supports, ribs or lightweight trusses to minimize bending; avoid over-constraint during thermal expansion.
